Operation

Open or close the shutter blades by using the control rod or via the blade if control is hidden.

Cleaning

1. Brush dust off using a soft cloth, feather duster or a vacuum cleaner brush attachment
2. Blinds finished with e-cote™ lacquer require regular application of silicon-free furniture polish applied with a soft cloth.
3. Do not allow timber products to come in contact with water. If they do for whatever reason dry immediately with a soft cloth.

Operation

Pulling one of the single cords will tilt the slats in one direction. To raise or lower the blinds, fully open the slats and pull the double cord towards the middle of the blind, out at approx 45° and slightly down. When the blind is at the desired height, return the cord to the side of the blind to engage the cordlock. To tilt slats on ‘Legacy’ blinds use both cords in tandem.

Cleaning

Countrywood timbers

1. Dust can be removed using a soft cloth, feather duster or a vacuum cleaner with a brush attachment
2. Blinds finished with e-cote lacquer require regular application of silicon free furniture polish. This can be sourced from us.
3. Do not allow timber blinds to come in contact with water. If they do get wet dry off with a soft cloth immediately.

Masterwoods

1. Dust regularly with a feather duster or vacuum with a low suction attachment.
2. Wipe with a damp soft cloth
3. Masterwoods are fully washable but do not at any time immerse the headrail

Operation

The chain: Controls the tilting of the vertical blind and should be tilted several times to ensure it opens and closes correctly.

The cord: Traverses the blades clear of the window allowing access for opening a window or cleaning. Before traversing the blades ensure they are tilted (open) at 90° to the window.

Cleaning

1. To remove dirt/grime, wipe fabric blades with a soft cloth soaked in lukewarm water with a small amount of dish washing liquid.
2. Dry gently with a clean cloth
3. There can be variations between fabrics used in vertical blinds so we recommend that you clean a small test area first.

Operation

Keep the cord close to the plane of the fabric when operating the shade. For best results do not pull the cord away from the shade by more than 15°. To disengage the locking mechanism move the cord toward the centre of the shade approximately 30° from the vertical position. Raise or lower the shade while holding the cord at this angle. To engage the locking mechanism return the cord to the vertical position

Cleaning

1. Dust regularly with a feather duster or vacuum with a low suction attachment
2. Spot clean the fabric by gently blotting with a damp cloth. Use lukewarm water with small amount of dishwashing liquid

For entire shade cleaning (Nightfall fabric –  do not immerse in water. Spot clean only).

Pleated Blinds: To preserve pleat retention raise the blind regularly.

Operation

Chain Control: to raise or lower simply use the chain control

Tracking: If for any reason your Rollershade or Sunscreen fabric starts to roll up unevenly and is in danger of contacting the bracket, the following action should be taken. Roll the shade down to its lower limit, take hold of the bottom rail and guide the fabric back while operating the chain control. For best results perform this action regularly which allows the fabric to retain its new memory.

Cleaning

1. Dust regularly with a feather duster or vacuum with a low suction attachment
2. Stains or smudges can be removed with lukewarm water and a small amount of dish washing liquid on a soft cloth (cloth should be squeezed almost dry)
3. Small marks can be removed by rubbing lightly with a gum eraser or fresh bread

Cleaning

1. Brush awnings when dry with a soft brush to remove dust and dirt
2. Regularly hose down and allow to dry
3. Is is not advisable to roll up an awning when it is wet. If you do have to remember to unroll the fabric on the next fine day to dry it out
4. Do not allow water to pool on the fabric after washing or heavy rain

3. Is is not advisable to lower an umbrella when it is wet. If you do have to remember to deploy it on the next fine day to dry it out
